The Opportunities

There is currently a high demand for English speaking Doctors, GPs and Nurses throughout the world, especially the UK and the Middle East. These roles cover both public and private healthcare, and vary from working in small rural clinics to hospital wards in the heart of bustling cities.

Relocating

Moving to a new country is a huge step and requires detailed planning. Luckily our consultants have been helping people to relocate for years and will be able to offer tips, advice and support on flights and finding accommodation, as well as providing detailed information and insight about the country that you are moving to.

Things to know

The requirements for working abroad vary from job to job. It will be essential that you hold a medical/nursing degree, however the amount of experience you need will depend on the position you are applying for. Depending on your background, you may or may not have to undertake a language exam prior to relocating. A good level of English will be essential. You will also need to have a very clear idea of when you will be able to relocate, as some employers need staff more urgently than others.

There is always a high demand for doctors/nurses who have already obtained or in process of obtaining the medical/nursing registration in the country where they wish to relocate.

Our experience / support we give

Once we begin working with you, you’ll have our expertise at your fingertips. We have already got contracts across the world with clients recruiting thousands of Healthcare professionals for permanent jobs, offering you access to roles that suit your requirements perfectly – whatever your speciality and desired position. We will also support you throughout your relocation; providing advice on professional registration with governing bodies, airport transfers and finding somewhere to live.

Depending on the job you are applying for, there are a number of ways you might be interviewed. Very rarely do employers hire someone for a permanent role based solely on their CV, but it has been known to happen. Most likely you will be asked to attend a phone or video interview with an employer which we will be able to facilitate for you. In some circumstances, usually when an employer is looking to fill multiple vacancies at once, a client might undertake an international trip to interview you in person. We have also worked with clients in the past who have flown candidates to their location to attend interviews.

The experience of a lifetime

Working overseas truly is the experience of a lifetime. Not only do you have the opportunity to completely immerse yourself in another culture (and earn an impressive salary whilst doing so), but you’ll make your CV stand out from your contemporaries. It is a life changing experience and you may like it so much that you decide you want to stay!

So why choose Lion?

We will do all the hard work for you when it comes to finding a new job; we will support and advise on everything from your CV format and content, Interview preparation, Professional Registration and Visas where necessary and relocation.
